A trucker entered a lively Truck Stop Cafe and decided to test the new waitress with a quirky order. “I’d like three flat tyres, a pair of headlights, and a pair of running boards,” he declared confidently.

The waitress, a recent hire with blonde hair, was determined not to show any confusion. She briskly walked to the kitchen and whispered to the cook, “There’s a customer out there who just ordered three flat tyres, a pair of headlights, and a pair of running boards. Is he mistaking us for an auto shop?”

Laughing softly, the cook explained, “He’s not confused. He just ordered using trucker slang. Three flat tyres are three pancakes. A pair of headlights are two eggs sunny side up, and the running boards are two slices of bacon.”

Understanding the lingo, the waitress nodded and then paused, thinking quickly. She grabbed a bowl of beans and went back to the trucker.

Surprised by the addition, the trucker asked, “What’s with the beans, Blondie?”

She grinned and replied smartly, “Thought you might want to gas up while waiting for your flat tyres, headlights, and running boards to be ready!”

The trucker laughed, impressed by her wit and readiness to play along with his unusual order. This charming exchange added a dash of humor and warmth to his morning.
